CEDAR
CREEK CARRIAGE DRIVING EVENT
We participated in our
first American Driving Society event in several years with Louise
and Alan Fox. It was a superbley put on event that was great fun in
spite of a torrential downpour Saturday PM. All three entries,
Cindi with HH Joseph, Louise with HH Jamie, and Donnalee with
HH Pershing all took one or more first places in the VSE
division.Cindi had to have an adult rider because she is under 14.
Alan and several other wonderful folks volunteered to ride with her.
The marathon was great
fun and surprise of surprises Donnalee and Pershing were 2nd in the
VSE division. The course was well marked but in some places very
deep ruts after the hours of rain. The VSE went last so the course
was easy to follow but very rutted. Still great fun. We have
included a number of photos below.
You can be sure this
will not be our last ADS or CDE participation. We have bred for
athletic, competent driving horses and are pleased to re- enter this
discipline. If you are looking for a CDE horse contact us as we have
several started driving horses who will be more than
competitive for the next show season.

Carriage Dog to Ride- Three of us in the cart was a sight to
see! We started to put a sign on the back that said "warning wide
load"!

If you have never
considered driving in CDEs or other "big horse" driving events check
for events in your area. There is a VSE division for minis up to
38". Your horses will enjoy the change of pace and so will you.
If you love to drive the added component of dressage driving as well
as the reinsmanship and cone classes will provide challenges and
help increase the driving skills of both you and your horse.
